The second week of Pride month features rainbow-filled events, as well as some delicious food-filled festivals across the state.

Here are some things to do this weekend: 

This cookout gives guests a chance to enjoy ribs, chicken, brisket and pulled pork while they learn from BBQ Chefs, including Mike Puma from Gotham Burger Social Club. The grilling takes place Saturday and Sunday at Mohegan Sun.

The annual Fairfield County Pride in the Park Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Lockwood Mathews Park in Norwalk, Conn. The event featured live music, performances, and services to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

Triangle Community Center will be hosting its fourth annual Pride in the Park at Matthews Park on Saturday. The event will have family-friendly activities as well as vendors, food and entertainment.

The Harwinton Fair in 2019. This year’s fair opens Oct. 1 and continues through Oct. 3 at the Harwinton Fairgrounds, Locust Road, Harwinton.

This faire recreates an old-world spring festival filled with jousting knights, combat and circus-style performers at the Harwinton Fairgrounds. This weekend is themed around giving fairgoers a chance to play tabletop RPG (role playing games.)

The Memorial Wall in Veterans Memorial Park in Stamford.

A farmers market featuring baked goods, cheeses and oils will be hosted at Veterans Memorial Park each Saturday until Oct. 29. Opening weekend is this Saturday.

Waterbury’s Palace Theater is holding the Palace Block Party, celebrating 100 years in the community and the return of live events, June 10 on the 100 bock of East Main St., starting at 5:30 p.m.

Hennatize Me truck, which will be offering henna tattoos at the Imagine New Age Free Festival in Branford on Sunday, June 12.

The festival includes free yoga, vegan food trucks, henna tattoos and massage therapy. It takes place at the Avant Garde Center on Sunday.

Black Rock Day, an annual celebration of the Black Rock Community, was held on June 9, 2019 in Bridgeport. Festivities included a race, a parade, live music and more. Were you SEEN?

Black Rock Day 2022 features several events like a 5K race, food, music and a parade. The event starts at 4 Seabright Ave. on Sunday.

The Barnum Festival’s annual Barnum Sails the Sound event took place June 15, 2019 on the Bridgeport Ferry. Guests enjoyed views, dinner and dancing. Were you SEEN?

The tour takes guests to the Long Island Sound, with food provided from Vazzy's. The boat takes off from 1 Ferry Access Rd on Saturday.

The Danbury Railway Museum will be the host venue for the Steel & Wheels car show to benefit the Connecticut chapter of the ALS Association on Saturday. 

The car show, which raises funds for the Special Olympics, will bring together classic and unusual vehicles at the Danbury Railway Museum on Saturday.

Buddy Guy is performing June 11, 2022 at the Wall Street Theater, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year.

Buddy Guy is an American musician, known for his guitar skills and blues music. The artist will be stopping at the Wall Street Theater on Saturday.

Mike DelGuidice will perform his “Live On The Porch” show at Norwalk’s Wall Street Theater Nov. 20. The concert will also be livestreamed.

Mike DelGuidice is a singer-songwriter that has performed with stars like Billy Joel. He will be making a stop at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre on Saturday.

The annual Greek Experience Festival took place at Greek Assumption Church in Danbury on June 7-9, 2019. Festival goers enjoyed traditional Greek food, music and dance. Were you SEEN?

Norwalk's Maritime Aquarium will open a new butterfly exhibit on May 28. The "Flutter Zone," is a walk-through exhibit in a floral habitat on the aquarium's riverfront courtyard.

The Maritime Aquarium will be hosting a habitat filled with colorful butterflies that guests can walk through. The "Flutter Zone" will be available until Sept. 5.

Japanese artist Akinori Matsumoto assembles his exhibit "Sound Garden" at Greenwich Library's Flinn Gallery in Greenwich, Conn. Sunday, May 8, 2022. Matsumoto's show features handmade objects made of bamboo, wood, paper and metal arranged in a multi-dimensional garden-like environment to delight the senses through motion, shadow play, and sound.

This artistic creation by renowned Japanese sculptor and sound artist Akinori Matsumoto will be coming to the Flinn Gallery of the Greenwich Library on Thursday and will be on display until June 15.
