BUCYRUS – A Bucyrus grad is returning to his roots and to his background in the roofing business.

Jesse Groves is one of the newest project managers for Roofsmith Restoration, an Akron-based roofing company that offers residential and commercial customers more than just a new set of shingles.

“It goes a lot deeper than that. We give people options,” said Groves, who consults with property owners before any project begins. “I’m truly looking out for their best interests and truly take care of the homeowners and that’s what sets us apart.”

Roofsmith Restoration offers free inspections and professional services from start to finish, Groves said.

“We point out some of the wear and tear issues. We are specially trained in wind and hail damage and get the homeowner the roof they deserve if there’s true damage.”

The company installs premium asphalt shingles manufactured by Owens Corning, Groves said. It has been named one of their Platinum Preferred contractors for the last three years, a designation awarded to the top one percent of roofing companies in the U.S.

Groves, a 2000 Bucyrus High School graduate, is used to climbing on roofs. His early background in roofing and gutter replacement was working on the physically demanding installation and labor side of the trade, mostly in the Crawford County area.

He joined Roofsmith Restoration this year and lives in Bucyrus – “It seemed like a really good fit” – and is quick to point out what sets the company apart. “Everything we do here is to a tee. It’s honestly, the best way to put it is red carpet service. That’s what we offer.”

The company, Groves said, not only has gutters down to a science but recently expanded into blown-in insulation services. Insulating an attic is key in keeping homes warm in the winter and cool in the summer, plus reaps dividends in energy savings, he said.

Since its founding in 2009, Roofsmith Restoration has expanded its locations to include Cleveland, Canton, Cincinnati, and greater Nashville, Tenn. Groves said their team of “roofsmiths” has earned the firm a 92-percent referral rating from its customers.

“I think it’s a different process. We’re not necessarily the cheapest, but from a quality standpoint, I can tell you we’re gonna be the best,” he said. “We have to make sure we give customers the best roof they can possibly get and that’s our goal.” Share this:Facebook LinkedIn Twitter
